Sensorineural Hearing Loss

Sensorineural Hearing Loss is a result of crucial parts of the inner ear losing sensitivity to certain sounds. Most often this is caused as a result of a decrease or cessation of function of the hair cells. In most cases, sensorineural hearing losses cannot be corrected through medical intervention. However, it can be helped through the use of hearing aids and aural rehabilitation to improve communication ability.
